After 135 years, the Pellas Group now comprises 16 companies positioned in different sectors, from agro-energy, distribution of computers and software, distribution of motor vehicles, production and marketing of spirits, bank services, issuance of credit cards, provision of telecommunication and entertainment services, property management and insurance to productive activities under the export processing zones regime. Its geographical presence expands to more than a dozen countries in the Western Hemisphere: the United States of America, Cayman Islands, the Bahamas, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Panama, and Nicaragua. The Pellas Group not only stands out for its economic successes and outstanding management systems, including prestigious certifications such as ISO 9001 or ISO 14001, Kosher and others, it is also a source of direct or indirect employment for thousands of people throughout Central America and has made innovation a core competency in its business achievements.

The social responsibility policies promoted by the Pellas Group are focused on the well-being of the employees, the progress of the communities, the protection of the environment, and the ethical marketing of its products. These are the four cutting edges of the Social Responsibility Diamond of the Pellas Group. Under the initiative of Carlos Pellas, the Group decided to make strategic alliances with private institutions and non-profit organizations, such as the Association Pro Burned Children of Nicaragua (APROQUEN), the American-Nicaraguan Foundation (ANF), the Pellas Business Centre (CEP) and INCAE, with the objective of promoting sustainable and highly powerful transformation programs so as to achieve higher yields and greater impact in its social investments. This trajectory of successes and social commitment also mirrors the unity of a family that through five generations has managed to maintain the family nature of the Group, while developing businesses and prestigious brands that have contributed to promote progress in Nicaragua and Central America.
